I was looking to see what concerts were coming up....and apparently there is a Kid Rock tribute band. Don't get me wrong, I like a couple Kid Rock songs but a tribute band?

And yes, it sounds exactly what you think it sounds like

Just a reminder that Jessica Simpson has a song with these lyrics:

Pour yourself all over me,
and I'll cherish every drop
here on my knees
I think most pop songs are dirty and the question is “how vague are the lyrics”

But more to the point:
“Keep rollin rollin rollin what
Keep rollin rollin rollin yeah”

I just finished my first week in the captain's chair so to speak covering for the main supervisor on the show i'm on while he's out on vacation.

I suppose it went ok for my first time running everything, but fffwwwwheeewwww. I'm tired. Doing that job from the east coast plus doing my current job (one position below the top),(and really the job below me since I don't have a supervisor below me that I really should have given my current position)... was ....a lot for one week.

I think I'm good on doing that again for a good long while, but it wasn't the worst thing I've experienced either. I didn't have to deal with talking to clients though so I didn't really get the full on experience. But it was close enough. I did learn that I need a few years of experience before I'm really ready to step into that spot for real though.

welp.. time to take a long nap all weekend after that 😅

@nightsprinter curious since you've been offloading some guitars recently, and I love how the RG2027XL looks, what guitar(s) are getting most of your playing time?

The two main ones right now are a simple 6 string Charvel DK24 with a Dimarzio Titan/Air Norton combo and an LTD Black Metal 7 string. it's funny how I can spend thousands of dollars on a single guitar, but always seem to gravitate back to a couple of cheaper imports.

The RG2027XL does look really nice. And it probably has the best 7 string neck (for me). I've just come to find out that while I do like Edge trems, I have no need for a floating trem on a 7 and prefer the simplicity of a hardtail.

I still have a Prestige 6 with an Original Edge, I just don't play it much.

My GAS is in remission at the moment, or so it may seem.

I should add one thing that might be useful information to someone in regard to the whole guitar thing I was responding to from @Moongrum

I admit that I have a flaw where even though I dislike the idea of the attainment of perfection in my head, there are times I fall into the trap.

Example- every time I've had a "cool" car or truck in my life, the smallest issues drive me crazy. Rust starting to form on the rocker panels, a couple big dents, etc - I feel like it just ruins it for me. It's like I have to maintain the standard of "perfection" from the factory. I'm always super unhappy when I have a fast car or lifted truck due to this... it's like a self-imposed military-level mandate to maintain it and keep it the best it can be like a museum piece.

But.. when I buy a base model car with the most basic of options, I accept it for what it is and can live happily with the flaws and its utilitarian nature. It feels more like a tool than a toy.... and for me, a commuter vehicle is a tool. Takes the pressure off.

You can transpose the above example into guitars and that's also how I feel. I'm just more comfortable and more "me" when I have no-frills items that were built to do jobs rather than something that makes the people go wow.

This is all mental of course, but I recognize it and it's just how I am.

I have around 20 guitars, and have been playing my $200 Harley Benton the most recently.

So I'm an amateur home cook, and I've tried many many many a times to make good pizza dough, to varying degrees of success. Some I swore were better than others, some I had to pretend to like, but effort was put in none the less. I've tried different proofing methods, different flours, oils, no oils, etc.

How the hell did I half ass a quick dough today without putting any thought or effort into it, and it ended up being the best crust I've ever made. It's chewy and crunchy and textured fantastically.

What the hell, universe.
