They *should*, but I've found out with Fender trems....there's no such thing as "standard". :D

I'll check into this for ya.

Same goes with the trem bars... the squiers, Mexi and american strats all have different sized threading for the bars...

Yeah. I snicker a little when a guy tells me, "...it's a regular Strat trem". LOL
That could be one of about 14 different variations they've put on their guitars in the last 60 years.

Floyds are slightly more standardized, but then you add Schaller, Gotoh, Ibanez and a few other manufacturers, and things start to deviate a little.

But when it comes down to it; there are only two "real" floyds - the Schallers, and the Ibanez trems, which arent even technically floyds, but they are more industry-standard than the OFR in some ways.

ok here's the trem i am wanting to replace. http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y1...hoto_102906_011.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch1

it's on a 1989 Charvel Model 3, and if you know how there trems worked, they were not recessed but instead elevated with a 42mm sustain block. instead of the standar 43mm sustain block. I have seen someone put an OFR on the sustain blocks, i am not sure if it required mods though.

personally i want to put an edge on it. is the stud spacing the same as an OFR? if so then then i would need to know if my sustain block would fit on the charvel's trem.

here is more links to the guitar.

o sorry EDIT: http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y178/DBDbadreligion/My Charvel/

Damn that's a nice setup. :)

So you want to swap the current block for an Ibanez Edge trem block?

no i HAVE to keep the current block. i want a new trem because the current trem is getting pretty old now. either and OFR or an EDGE, preferablly an edge.
then i would just transfer my block to the new trem. if it would fit in that case.
