My buddy recently picked up both of these bad boys and figured I’d share the porn. As a Unearth fan myself these are pretty special instruments. Not sure why Ibanez never decided to do a signature model for Ken and Buz when they made them these instruments. Tons of mojo and battle scars on them but they’ve been around the world and back and are pretty awesome pieces of history. Cheers

This was theirs too, right?

And maybe I'm getting this wrong, but wasn't there a 7-string iceman LACS or something for one of them?

oh man, these are two of the most iconic Ibanez 7 strings to me personally. Like others have said, Ibanez continually missed the mark by not giving Buz and Ken either a sig model or hiring them to help design some new production models.

I can't believe they both sold their first LACS, but I'm so glad they did and thankful to you for sharing these photos! God damn they are just so perfect.

Does anybody know why they went with 22 frets since they've forgone the neck pickup any way? I get that perhaps the S series template was 22 frets at the time, but these were LACS builds right?

They had always used 22 fret S7s up until that point, so I suppose it was a case of not pushing for 24 simply for the sake of it.

They did do a 24-fret S7 after these, the white one with vine inlay. I think that was a couple years after these.
