Forgot one: late 70s/early 80s Cliff Richard. I'm no Hero, Wired for Sound and Now You See Me - love those albums.

Being a key/synth player too, one of my biggest synth influences is Michael Cretu: Enigma, but I love me some 80's Brit-Syth-Pop too.

I have recently started to like metal bands with shameless pop influences such as Amaranthe and Delain.

A lot of those Disney films had fantastic scores. Jerry Goldsmith worked on Mulan so its no wonder it has amazing music. He wrote the Mummy score which was a massive influence on me. I could just listen to those scores all day and they really complimented their films, something thats being lost a lot lately, Marvel being a prime example. You can hear a lot of Disney in Nightwish, Avantasia and similar bands since they all would have grown up with those films.

This is one of my favourites, its Dreamworks and their first go at a Disney style animated film so they got in Hans Zimmer for the soundtrack.

I really don't consider any of my pleasures guilty. For example, I make it well known in a huge Phil Collins fan, and basically listen to anything not Country or Radio Rap.

Now that we got that nonsense out of the way, I was listening to the new LANY album in the car earlier today...

This is essentially the "this song/band isn't that bad" part of Unpopular Opinions.

Lady Gaga tunes aren’t so bad.

I actively listen to Elton John often. I really dig the 80’s pop crap.

One of my guilty pleasures is Die Antwoord. So catchy but some of the lyrics and image are so stupid.
