So what do you guys jam along with on your 7's? You know, after a shitty day I crank up the amp and crank the CD player and just rock out.

Usually I either play along to CD's or just focus on practiceing scales and run's but never both in the same day.

Right now these are my favs to jam along to.
    The Glass Prison-DT
This dying Soul-DT (these two actually go hand in hand even though they are on differnt albums--i wonder how many other people figured that out)
    YTSE jam-DT
    lifestyle-Joe Satriani
    Hands in the air-JS
    We will rise-Arch enemy
..and for some reason, carry on wayward son-kansas...dunno why i keep playing that one it's just a cool tune...

It's been awhile since I've jammed along to a CD, but when I did it was usually the Awake album. I loved jamming to that with the 7.

isn't it in the liner notes?

and, This Dying Soul, that's played on a 6string tuned down to C, right? do you tune up a half step, or capo the first fret? did you figure it out or get it from a TAB? if so, might i obtain a copy? :D

(ooo! we should have a thread to post links to tabs! :yum: )

    oh yeah, the topic

    Loudmouth - Fly
    Type O Negative - Christian Woman / Black #1
Tool - Undertow album (i know it's all in D, but my 7 is my only fixed bridge, so i drop the E to a D and forget the B)
Dream Theater - A Change of Seasons (well, the first 4:30m anyways :p )

    and last but not least...

    Metallica - Kill'Em All album

i'm actually suprised to hear Satch come up so much, as far as 7's go. i'm a big fan of his earlier stuff... haven't really gotten into his stuff beyond SBM. it's all good stuff, but i haven't sat down and figured any of it out in a while.

as far as 6strings go, i LOVE jamming along with his Self-titled album, and Crystal Planet of course :D

ahh! sevendust! i gonna dig them up when i get home and crank :hbang:

i've learned an arseload of that testament stuff, and i like the new stuff a lot, they've always had really good guitarists fill Alex's spot, like Glen Alevias & James Murphy, for example

This Dying Soul is played on a standard 7 string guitar, just like The Glass Prison.
