I.e i think he means no haha

They are sort of cheesey you should look around some of the build threads here and see what other people have got done. Some guy (can't remember for the life of me who) got an absolutely amazing water drop inlay. Skulls? I just think that is so over done and I'm sure you can come up with better :)

Well, I'm sure I'll catch all sorts of shit for this, but I'm breaking the trend here. I actually like the skulls with the ribbon deal going through them.

Yea, skulls are overdone, and it certainly limits the applicability of the guitar to to other genres of music. I think if you're spending the time, effort, and money on this, then you should have a guitar that you can play no matter how your tastes in music change. I mean, who knows, in 15 years, you might have developed a love for jazz. You can't exactly play a lot of jazz gigs with skulls all over your guitar. I guess you could, but you'd come off as a total douche on stage. Even if you're not gigging with it, you might look at the guitar in distaste later on down the road, especially if your tastes in music change.

Nonetheless, if you insist on the skulls, then I would use the skulls with the ribbon deal going through them. I like that design the best!

Well i dunno, if i was getting it done i would get something personal to me. Something that means something to you or design some sort of symbol for yourself.

Either that or if you have a sort of theme for the guitar like Roo did you could create something and incorporate that. Skulls are just so overused it wouldn't seem special or anything, to me at least. Be creative :)

I like skulls they are great. i don't like the ribbon. IMO the skull look a little out of proportion though like if they were a little smaller on there it would look better. And instead of ribbon, I would add a couple scattered bones or something more fitting.

But then I am the originator of the Curse of the Mummified Hand, so you might not want to listen to me :ugh: so if you come across any scattered bones after reading this mabee its not a good idea...
