Well, it is just that I spent the weekend testing lot of guitars at thomann and I ended finding out, that I just simply love LP guitars and in particular the FGN.
I own the LC20 and a LS30 and now I am really thinking about buying the same LS30 so I can use it with another tuning, but this idea looks quite weird to me.

Sometimes you just find your guitar and there's nothing wrong with grabbing multiple examples of it. If you gig, you'll need backups, if you jam at home throw some different pickups in one or two.

Besides, as far as guitar manufacturing has come, there will always be some differences between guitars, even those built right next to each other in a factory. It's fun to explore that.

I think at one point I had something like a dozen RG7620s. They were just such great, cheap workhorses that it was hard to turn them down.

Usually i wouldn't, but since i'm gigging with a band and need a backup, yes i would buy the same one twice just for consistency's sake.
Same thing with the tuning thing you say, i find it perfectly normal to buy the same guitar to have it in different tunings at the same time if you often switch. Nothing wrong with that.

I bought two of the same guitar but for different reasons... if one were to get damaged, I'd have a backup. It's a limited production run model so I wanted to make sure that if they ever stopped making it altogether or changed the specs that I wouldn't have to try to find another one.

Tons of guys own multiple teles, strats, LP’s etc. As mentioned you find what you love might as well not reinvent the wheel.

I haven't *quite* done it yet, but I do have multiple Parkers that are essentially identical guitars just with different body/neck woods and finishes.

I've had 20 or so of the old MIJ DK2M's, I probably had 7-8 of them simultaneously. They're great cheap workhorse guitars.

My first guitar was a Squier Bullet Strat. I moved on from it, years ago, and didn't have a Strat for ~15 years. Well then last May I happened upon a great deal on an HSS Strat and the overall feel and familiarity of it made me realize how much I love Strats!

Less than a year later, I now have 5 Strats:lol:
