basically all those "I had butter once, turns out it was a tax deduction on my mothers side" type names that mean squat

just hate them, oh and 90% of ^ bands have equally stupid song names...

I know that Stealth is lobbying pretty hard for it, but I will hate the fuck out of the first band named "Nouns" or "Plurals". Also pretty much any band trying to sound science-y with a cosmological or mathematical name.

Megadeth is actually a real word. It's a unit of measurement to quantify deaths that would occur in a nuclear war. They didn't make it up. It's also right in-line with what their music is about.

It might sound cheesy, but it makes total sense if you're familiar the themes they (Dave) writes about.

Well, strictly speaking, Megadeath is a real word. Megadeth is a terribly cliched deliberately mis-spelled band name :p

Literally just means one million (SI Prefix for one million) deaths.

I once knew of a band in NC called "Boiled Foreskin". Never saw them live, sounded too painful.

    Haribo macht kinder froh

although they had to change their name or web adress or something due to copyright stuff from the haribo candy company, so they went with: wearethebestbandintheworld or something like that...

Infant Annihilator, having a retarded uninspired name for the sake of eccentricity or just to sound metal doesn't work.

I know it's a personal thing, but how is this name ridiculous, or a hopped on trend? It's a name perfectly fitting to their music.
I got the impression that it meant their music would destroy you emotionally...but I dunno :/

I like the name. I interpret it as losing your sense of self and transcending the ego. Who knows! I'm probably wrong, but that's the beauty in it; we can all come up with different interpretations.

If you have the balls to name your band "This Will Destroy You," you better be just beyond the fucking pale abrasive and crazed. I just looked up some of their stuff and They Are Not.

It's like when Brutality came around. They had the juice to back that name up.
