Windows won't let me turn off advertisements on MY OWN TASKBAR

So I open my computer today to see a fucking hearing aid, wheel chair, and prosthetic leg pasted next to my fucking search bar:


I can't right click it, can't delete it, can't find how to turn it off in settings.
How the fuck is it even legal to just slap this ugly BS on my computer without my consent?

Can someone please help me figure out how to get rid of this?

looks like it's related to accessibility. try seeing if there's taskbar options for accessibility

I got this the other day, but you can just right click the task bar, go to "search", and then deselect "show search highlights".

Very straightforward.

Have to concur, this doesn't look at all like an ad and interacting with it shows it's clearly not an ad.

Search Highlights is a new feature in Windows, and the legality is the ToS/User Agreement. Happy World Bee Day, everyone!
