I got this Tru-Oil treatment on Amazon and I"m wondering if it'll work for refinishing my mahogany-bodied Ibanez S320. I'm new at this whole modifying guitars thing and I'm wondering if this is the right treatment for my baby.

All you need is the one in the middle. Tru-oil on mahogany is glorious

Really? So, I'm guessing the conditioner is for upkeep, but the Walnut Stain isn't necessary? The Tru-Oil is dark enough by itself?

The walnut stain is only necessary if you want to stain the wood a walnut colour. The Tru-Oil is the only one you need for a great looking finish. I used it on my mahogany Ibby S Series and it looks awesome.

The conditioner is for buffing stuff. I refuse to play a guitar if the neck isn't tru-oiled. Ok...that's a lie. But seriously, a well done tru-oil neck is about the most awesome thing in the universe. Just make sure you put very thin coats on and give it plenty of time to dry. Then sand with fine grit paper or steel wool as you go. It's pretty hard to mess up...unless you slop it on like mustard...then you're in trouble :nono:

Awesome. I'll be using it for the body, gsdejager, but I'd love to try a tru-oil neck...

Do you think I have enough for the full body?

Sorry for the bump, but do I have enough tru-oil for a body?
