That's awesome! Enjoy it a little, but remember, it's his experience. I only mention this because I had a friend who loved his parents, but had a period of time where he resented them. The reason was they'd let him do things that they themselves wanted to do for the longest time. When they did, though, they'd almost try to enjoy it as much or more than my friend. They didn't understand what was eating at him for awhile and when they finally talked about it, they stepped back and they got along much better after that. Not saying you would do this or anything, but ultimately, let the kiddo have the bulk of the fun.

Put together my "satellite" drive board, where I have 4 sections of drives. The drives are based on amp channels (Revv G2, G3, G4, Friedman BE-OD Deluxe, two Dirty Shirley -- I want a damn Dirty Shirley Deluxe or Twin Sister, 4 Tech 21 pedals, Bogner Ecstasy Blue and Red original and mini). The main board sends two cables out to a section of the drive board (Friedman, Tech 21, Revv, or Bogner), then into my Two Notes CAB M+. Plan to set up a few patches on the CAB M+ for the drives (such as the BoGreen DynIR for the Bogner and Revv 412 for the Revv). Essentially, this is like having 4 amp heads, each with 4 channels. I'll probably have 1-2 patches on the CAB M+ per section.
Also made room on my main board so I am putting my Morley Little Alligator volume pedal on my main board before the gain pedals.

Bought tickets for the Mastodon meet & greet package the day after my birthday in August; would've gone for it on the actual day, but it's up in Canada, and the tickets were in CAD vs. USD, so it would've been $100 more + hotel, etc etc, so I said fuck it. Been seeing them live since '06 on the Unholy Alliance Tour (Slayer/LoG/CoB/In Flames/Mastodon, unreal lineup) when they were between Leviathan having been out and Blood Mountain about to come out, and I respect the hell out of all of them as players of their respective instrument so I figured why not.

Second; wait these things are possible?! Just blew my mind! Hol'up You actually can rent one out to yourself and on top of it you can choose to play games instead of watching movies? I've seen so many theatre menus and never seen't this option anywhere. I will definitely rent one out to screen a horror movie for some of my friends then. God damn. Do all theatres do this? Or only local ones?
I actually had a chat with my mom last week about how she never let me celebrate halloween for "religious" reasons. So, maybe that's the reason I'm so into horror movies, to make up for what I never experienced as a kid. Of course, jokingly.
But if I ever did have a kid of my own then I would probably be just like you, more geeked to be in a Freddy Kruger suit than he is, with my big ass standing next to him with a smile that's pushing my ears into the cosmos that NighLight's theories reside in blissfully.

I have the family on the cell plan. Logged into the cell account, trimmed some excess then saw another plan available that shaves over $100/mo + off my bill plus another discount. Didnt lose anything in the process, guess I had a leftover plan.
Fuck me, what's that like? Every plan I see in Canada is minimum $80 a month for 10 gigs of data I don't need and I need to be locked in to financing a phone with their network.

It was much prettier when I reached for my phone. But, as I turned to grab it, my wife stumbled by me half awake, which is usually her running for the bathroom so I didn't think anything of it. I turn back around to take the shot and she's standing at the stove mowing down my morning cooking experiment.
"Sorry. Smelled so good I had to come take a bite."
LOL. Oh well. Gotta admit, it was good. My own creole spice blend pressed into a chicken breast I smashed with a meat mallet, fried in a bit of butter, then drizzled with my own quickie cajun sauce (2 parts mayo, 1 part spicy dijon, sprinkle with my creole spice and blend) and pico (diced roma, slivered white onion, basil, cilantro, salt, pepper). It's been pronounced this will be made for supper sometime this weekend, so I guess I done good. Made me crave andouille sausage and dirty rice something fierce though.
Something about flavorful protein in the morning always gets me all giddy for the day.

Wait, what!? I'm paying 19.90€/month for my plan, and it's got unlimited calls, sms and data. And thanks to the new(ish) EU laws it's valid in all of EU, except there's a limit on data when I'm abroad. I guess connectivity is the only thing that's actually cheap over here!
My wife has the same plan, and my stepson has a slightly cheaper one, which just caps the data speed at 10M... So at the moment the phone bill for my family is 55€/month. I guess once both my daughters have phones the total price will be around the same as that one (very limited) plan in Canada
