I thought this thread was going to be about football.

No way. This is eons more interesting.

I saw this video yesterday on Facebook, and I was floored. How cool would that be?!

EDIT: The dude's uncanny ability to befriend these lions basically brings them down to the level of just gigantic house cats. That's so awesome.

I agree, but I think it was the capitalization of 'lions' that misled me.

It just blows my mind how this guy plays with them with no fear. Even a housecat will love you one minute, and scratch the shit out of you the next, so imagining that kind of unpredictability with an animal of this magnitude is just scary to me.

I've seen a few of the videos about this man before, as someone who loves cats, it's always amazing to see :)

It totally depends on the cat and maybe how many time you spend with it. My neighbours cat was exactly like that, but I bet there were signs before the change in behaviour, I just wasn't able to see them. As for my cat, I could do pretty much anything and get away with it. And as we learned from Yoda, size matters not.

Not meaning to derail this thread, but as much as I am amazed to see "the lionwhisperer", it doesn't really surprise me that one can get along that good with lions (or hyenas). Crocodiles however... but from seeing their videos, it seems that these men have a rather similar connection to nature and animals.
