Ibanez Prestige RGD2127FX 7-String or Schecter KM-7
by personal perference or configuration?
I have an RGD2127z with Nazgul/Sentient. For the price it should have came stock with DiMarzios, but the upgrade really doesn't cost a whole lot. Badass guitar indeed!
Can't speak for the KM-7. Wish local guitar stores carried it so I could test it out. Based on specs, the KM-7 is extremely attractive. Overall build quality goes to Ibanez thus far. Schecter is still working out the kinks.
I would go with the Schecter, but that's just because I don't care for basswood guitars. Never tried an ash one though. If you could just try them out and see which one you like more.
Overall build quality goes to Ibanez thus far I don't catch you dude, I don't know about schecter, but I prefer the Processing quality of japaness, right?
Yes, basswood...always give me a sense of cheap
Definitely try them out. The RGDs have a very good reputation though.
I'll have to wait a period of time for KM-7
how about think about the price of those two:km7 $999 2127z $1499
I don't get this, some of the best guitars are basswood (suhr uses it extensively) / Its a tonal preference not a budget reason that Ibanez went with basswood.
KM-7 is a better guitar out of the box and a better value, the Ibanez may be made a bit better but that's debatable.
I'd personally go the ibanez
debatable? dude, I am stuck at those two guitars, could you please give me more info? why do you prefer KM-7? are you owner?
how about the V7V8 pickup?
there's basswood and basswoord.
Anyway,I'd go with the Ibanez.Too many KM-7 NGD topics lately
Ibanez all day long
I think there's only one person that can truely answer this question for YOU....
