Got this Charvel 475 a few years ago for $250, unfortunately I sold it.

Around 2007 I was at a swap meet and I found a 1991 Made In Japan Fender Heartfield Talon 1 or 2 with a hard shell case. The guy wanted $60 for it and I took it..

I got a fender jazz five string for $200 once upon a time. I'll never forgive myself for selling it. Great bass, but at the time I was young and dumb and had no idea what I had. I now have a four string Mexican jazz and its nice, but the fiver was just better.

Oh I forgot my super cheap ones. I got a Sun Beta Bass for $15 at a yard sale, and Behringer 212 powered speaker for free from a neighbor that was throwing it away.

This is basically the reason I go to yard/estate sales. I envy you haha.

Posted a NGD a while back for it, but I bought a Framus Diablo from a small store for $400AU a few years back. Still have it, but it'd be worth easily three times that,

I scored my VHT 2/50/2 for $400 bucks which aint bad. Totally the best 400 Ive spent in a while.

One of the best deals I've ever landed was trading a Halo salvus baritone 6 string for an ENGL 4x12. I bought the Halo for $250 and ended up getting a cab worth four times as much lol.

In 2004 there was this japanese guy trying to sell his almost new ESP MII DELUXE translucent purple.
I offered my VERY old Marshall JMP-1 pre which I used to hate its muffled tones. At that time his guitar value was almost 1400 dollars, my old pre was about 400 dollars.

    HE ACCEPTED! :yesway: :scream: :shred:

He said he was about to get married so he needed money, it'd be easier to sell my pre cause to sell that guitar he'd have to find a guy who wanted exactly that model. He started his marriage loosing money already
Almost 12 years later that guitar is still with me without any problem, I simply love it cause the only thing I have to do is changing strings and cleaning it.

Managed to get a Prorack-G w/ factory stereo mod for $175 but later sold it. I regret that one

I recently had two good scores. I saw a new mini recto head being blown out for 675 on reverb shipped from a dealer who was no longer going to stock mesa. When I opened the box, I found a brand new mini mark 5.

Another reverb deal was picking up a great condition prs for 2600 when the seller bought it for 3700 a month earlier. He just wanted the cash asap.

    Bought a peavey 5150 4x12 cab for $200.

I tried it out and only 2 speakers were working, the owner had a crazy idead that this was normal when running it through a 2 channel head.

Got it home, opened up and the wires weren't connected.

Was in great condition, sold it for $500 not long after as I didn't really like the sound of the sheffields.

Probably my Jackson SLSMG for $400. It was used but clearly not much. You would have never known if you weren't told so.

1986 Jackson Soloist for $700, couple of chips in the paint but no where you can see and I plan on getting the guitar completely refinished anyway. I'd heard rumors about the quality of the early Soloists from the San Dimas factory, and damn! They're all true! The Soloist is one of the most lively guitars I've ever played!

Sorry - a little tipsy and didn't wanna read through the whole thread - BUT...

I once scored a ~1990's EXH Deluxe Memory Man big box (three prong power cord) with original wooden box and case candy for $100 on my local CL. The guy said it was just collecting dust in his closet.

It ended up not working as planned in my setup, so I decided to pay it forward and sold it several months later for what I paid for it. Wish I still had it :( That was before I realized that it's okay to have some pedals you don't use all the time. Never gonna find that deal on that effect again. Ever.
