Kinda a kick in the gut I know, we'd all like to go out and see more live shows and support the hard working bands doing the grind. I got to see Periphery, Babymetal, and Born of Osiris. so that was pretty rad in my book. I passed on Northlane cuz I wasn't really into them before their "Alien" album , now I regret not going to that show.

Damn.....people are having these conversations now. "You remember the last time you had fun?" That makes me a bit sad.

Besides local bands? I think it was Marilyn Manson

Last concert I saw was Tool back in January. Author & Punisher was quite loud and boring to listen to in my opinion, and I was ready to fall asleep once the last song came through.

Honestly, it makes me sad too because it just shows how the things we value and take for granted can be taken from us with the snap of a finger.

This year I saw Slipknot + Behemoth, Insomnium + Comjurer, Polyphia + Unprocessed and Caravan Palace.

I was hoping to go see Rammstein or Iron Maiden this summer and for the first time in a decade plus we had a metal festival here in Ireland that was piggybacking off Download UK. Since it was cancelled in its first year and likely we won’t have festivals next year that might be the end of it before it even began.

I had a ticket for Phantom of the Opera which I for a refund for and that was it. There is always a drought in the summer and gigs start back September/October here.

Periphery/Plini in November, was a great show, went to Beast in Black a month prior to that and that wasn’t so good, so I’m glad I ended it on a high for now haha.

Godflesh and Neurosis last summer. Then I was busy and lazy all fall and didn't go out to any shows. I had a ticket to see Uada play in a pub right down the street from me in March, but that obviously got cancelled.

    Shows I managed to see:
    Mr. Bungle, Antidote, and Cleric
Geoff Tate performing Rage For Order and Empire in their entirety
Cult of Luna, Emma Ruth Rundle, and Intronaut (Oddly enough, I was in NYC for that, and the same day they reported the first known case of covid in NYC)

Shows I had tickets for and got cancelled/postponed because of Covid:
    Slipknot
Korn, Faith No More, and Helmet
    Matchbox Twenty and Wallflowers
    Caligula's Horse and Moon Tooth
    Napalm Death, Wvrm, and Tombs

Fairly sure it was it Rivers of Nihil doing ‘Where Only Owls...’ in full with the live saxophonist. Top stuff.

My band played out last weekend. Was lots of fun. got noticed by a few local bands. Doing it again with one of them next weekend.

Took my kids to see a Tom Petty tribute band last summer. dont get out to shows much anymore, band practice and our shows is all I have time for with 4 young kids.

Just Bismuth & Body void in jan, then some local hardcore bands. Not been to a "big" gig since... Pig destroyer I think. Had been looking forward to Napalm death, it's been rescheduled to december, but I have doubts on it.

^Ghost was one of my last shows, too. The last one was taking my wife to see The National, her favorite band.

Beyond Creation and Decapitated. Damn good stuff! I had tickets for Cattle Decap. They would play shortly after, but it was cancelled, as they wrote: "the europandemic tour got cancelled due to an actual fucking pandemic". Ugh! Fuck this virus.

    Ninja Sex Party.

I was going to see Powerman 5000 at a local place, but that one was unfortunately double-booked with Nobody-Leave-Your-House 'Fest 2020, and obviously I couldn't miss that.
