Another used GC impulse buy. I found a non-eq Mesa Mark III blue stripe head for like half the price mark iii heads go for usually. I tried looking for mesa 5 band eq pedals after but they are out of stock everywhere with zero used listings. Luckily, I saw a guy list his mw dual rectifier as a combo with the pedal for some reason (?) and convinced him to sell it to me separately.

I don't want to make a new thread. How can I record a mic'd amp and DI at the same time? I also own an Audient iD14 and a Helix LT. Do I need a DI box thing?
You'll need a DI box to use as a splitter. The thru output goes to the amp and then mic it, the DI output goes directly to the interface.

Shame...I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy more stuff. I'll probably just record DI then and reamp it with the amp later, trying to match the input gain. Maybe somehow I could route the DI in to one of the outs of the Audient and send that to the amps input? I could try...

Can't you route two outs on the helix and send one to your interface?

So I just bought a mod kit for my MT-2 because I keep wanting to try some mods out on it. I shouldn't have ever sold my Waza one, but regretting selling things is my hobby, so it is what it is.

Helix only records DI thru USB Input 7, and to do it you need to use the Helix as the main interface. You can't route the DI signal to any output. Unless you mean using an empty signal path and then splitting the signal to 2 different outputs, which I could do. I'm not sure if it's the same thing though, recording the USB In 7 vs recording an empty signal path. There might be a difference, I'm not sure..

Yeah, that's what I'd do before buying a DI to see if it works for you. DI out one of the sends and to the amp through one of the outputs or something. DI boxes are useful and I have a Little Labs one that's really nice, but if you can make it work with what you have it's worth trying.

I've had my esp for like a week and I already want to rip out the EMGs lol. The bridge is alllmost there soundwise for me. It's just a bit too murky with some of my riffs. The neck pickup is godawful and needs to go asap. Might be cool to try the dino retribution set.

Edit: welp I found a retribution bridge for cheap so I pulled the trigger. I don't really use the neck pickup anyways, so why bother replacing it

PLEASE put up demos and DIs of the Retribution. Been dying for a solid demo of that pickup for a long time.

Havent bought an amp in many years and have gone back and forth about a few to get for a while. A nice purple Revv G20 popped up and Ive tried getting one just like it a couple times before, well this time I got it. Waiting for arrival.

Now I got to sell the Laney VH100. Great amp but I dont want big heads anymore.

In my recent adventures in IR manipulation and potential cab purchases, I’m starting to think I may want to find an old VHT Fatbottom 1x12 cab.

I’ve been making mixed IRs and playing around with cab blocks in the Axe by taking two or three 1x12 IRs, which seem to be more direct and clear sounding, and one other IR that is usually a 1x15/2x15/4x12/mic’d port as an IR for the low end. Playing with the levels and some slight EQ tweaks has yielded some great results. So much so, that if I do decide to capture my own IRs, I might just stick with a great 1x12 and individual speakers to save money and time.

I'm supposed to be saving up for a SLO, but I snagged another S6527SKFX Prestige instead. I need four of them apparently. If the GF asks I'm telling her it was yall's idea.

Would be nice to find another S5527QFX as well, not today though.

Just tell her you meant "Saber, Low Offer". And then inform her of the incredible coincidence of an amp called the SLO that you need to get because it just seems right.
