Giggity.
You'll need a DI box to use as a splitter. The thru output goes to the amp and then mic it, the DI output goes directly to the interface.I don't want to make a new thread. How can I record a mic'd amp and DI at the same time? I also own an Audient iD14 and a Helix LT. Do I need a DI box thing?
Shame...I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy more stuff. I'll probably just record DI then and reamp it with the amp later, trying to match the input gain. Maybe somehow I could route the DI in to one of the outs of the Audient and send that to the amps input? I could try...You'll need a DI box to use as a splitter. Can't you route two outs on the helix and send one to your interface?Shame...I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy more stuff. Helix only records DI thru USB Input 7, and to do it you need to use the Helix as the main interface. You can't route the DI signal to any output. Unless you mean using an empty signal path and then splitting the signal to 2 different outputs, which I could do. I'm not sure if it's the same thing though, recording the USB In 7 vs recording an empty signal path. There might be a difference, I'm not sure..Can't you route two outs on the helix and send one to your interface?
Yeah, that's what I'd do before buying a DI to see if it works for you. DI out one of the sends and to the amp through one of the outputs or something. DI boxes are useful and I have a Little Labs one that's really nice, but if you can make it work with what you have it's worth trying.Helix only records DI thru USB Input 7, and to do it you need to use the Helix as the main interface. I've had my esp for like a week and I already want to rip out the EMGs lol. The bridge is alllmost there soundwise for me. It's just a bit too murky with some of my riffs. The neck pickup is godawful and needs to go asap. Might be cool to try the dino retribution set.
Edit: welp I found a retribution bridge for cheap so I pulled the trigger. I don't really use the neck pickup anyways, so why bother replacing it![]()
Just tell her you meant "Saber, Low Offer". And then inform her of the incredible coincidence of an amp called the SLO that you need to get because it just seems right.I'm supposed to be saving up for a SLO, but I snagged another S6527SKFX Prestige instead. I need four of them apparently. If the GF asks I'm telling her it was yall's idea.
Would be nice to find another S5527QFX as well, not today though.
