I was gonna buy a TS-9 but I don't really have $100 for one. I play melodic hardcore and *sometimes* play death metal. I've been looking at the Bad Monkey and BBE Green Screamer. I'm about to get a Bugera 6262, so I need something to boost it with.

If you really like the TS-9, look used. I've seen them go for as little as $40 on CL. That being said, the BBE and Digitech you've mentioned are solid units.

I highly recommend the Bad Monkey if you just want a cheap boost to play with. Sounds great for the price and is built well.

I've never tried one, but I've been itching to test a BBE green screamer. They're pretty cheap used on used.guitarcenter.com and not too expensive new. the reviews say its similar to an od808...

    :agreed:

They sound great to boot, and are highly mod-able. Not to mention they are tough as bricks and have retractable knobs. :yesway:

I love my Bad Monkey. I've even tried more expensive boosts and keep coming back to it.

if u can find a BBE Green Screamer for a good price that ll be ur best bet. they sound just like an OD808 but with a little more low end and gain. also true bypass and extremely well built. but if not, go with the Bad Monkey. sounds very similar to an 808 as well. doesnt sound quite as good as the BBE, but only by a small amount. its my fave affordable OD pedal
