... Ozzy? SG, V, Les Paul, etc. He has played with some of the best that ever picked up the instrument.

    Les Pauls.

Randy and Zakk are Ozzy's two most well-known guitarists in my opinion, and Zakk AFAIK has been the longest tenured one out of Ozzy's guitarists. And they're both famous for using Les Pauls.

Les Paul, because I mostly listened to his music with Zakk Wylde on guitar. Randy Rhoads used one as well sometimes, I think it was a white LP custom.

The correct answer is a Les Paul or the Polka dot Sandoval. But just for completeness, Jake and Joe Holmes strats are really cool, much as they are both on record that Ozzy hated them playing strats!
Really wish Holmes had recorded a full album with Ozzy as he is just incredible.

Feel bad for Gillis, to fill in straight after Randy's death. He really had the sh1ttiest time/timing with Ozzy

Brad Gillis is one of the slickest players out there. I don't think he would have stayed with Ozzy long, but he certainly would have made an impact if he was given a chance. That said, Night Ranger did pretty okay!

Brad is a ridiculously good guitar player who doesn’t get the credit he deserves.

This is one of my fav interviews ever…

Brad may have the best tremolo arm control of any player I've ever heard. And that includes wizards like Steve Vai and Joe Satriani.

Tie between the SG and LP Customs. His early work with Tony/Black Sabbath and with Rhoads (despite Randy's guitar tones and how well that aged) were gateway albums for me regarding rock and metal.

Just been reading about the farce that was the Live album that ended up becoming Speak of the Devil. Main point of it was to shaft sabbath coz they were releasing a live album. Randy, Tommy and Rudy all said they wouldn't do it and said they would quit once contract obligations had been met, Ozzy fired them all numerous times and fell out totally with Randy over it, then of course Randy died and Brad came in and all the rehearsals for the album happened with Ozzy awol completely to the night of the show. Brad and Rudy quit immediately after. What a clusterfcuk!

If I remember correctly, Brad rehearsed a couple days with the band and then performed two live shows that were recorded for use as a live album. They were a disaster. So management rented the venue out for another day and recorded the tracks again. Most of these "fake" live tracks were used for the record. I think this was figured out by comparing the album to bootleg recordings of the two nights in question. Does that ring a bell with anyone else?

Speaking of those, I'm not too thrilled with the one pertaining to Jake and not continuing for very long past Bark of the Moon and Ultimate Sin- I really liked Bark of the Moon after letting the Randy/Zakk hoopla subside when getting into this stuff. Mainly from the various blurbs stating how Osbournes effectively had him thrown under the bus to really paraphrase things.
