What do I think of them? Well, honestly I try not to - I really didn't like the two I tried.

Eeeh, i'd say save your money, another 1-200$ would get you at least a RG7321.

Poop. I played a few (even one that was setup ok) and they played and sounded like crap. The neck felt stiff and had an almost "plastic" feel to it. Not a fan of the Gio 7 strings. As Ken said above, I would suggest saving up and getting a slightly higher model. ;)

I remember when those Gio 7s came out, I played a couple of them in local music stores and I thought they were cheap. Still though, for the price they go for, owning one wouldn't be so bad but i'd rather save a little more and get something better. :agreed:

I had one for about a month - I picked it up off ebay to see if I'd like 7s...

I won't lie to you, it wasn't the best but it wasn't bad enough to turn me back to 6s :hbang:

Agathis is about the lowest end hardwood you'll see. at least the agathis they use in 200$ guitars.

    actually they are alder

and with a pup change they don't sound that bad. But yeah, they feel pretty cheap and the necks aren't very comfy.

I'm sure it would make a good blunt object if you needed to murder someone, and that's probably as metal as that guitar will ever get.

they're cool to own if you want to spice up your live act and light a guitar on fire, or throw it into the crowd if they hate you

I have one. It has been my main 7 for a few years. It needed a pickup change so i did put blazes in it. Doesnt sound to bad... One BIG +, it's lightweight.
