i wanna know what new/old bands youve discovered recently
    or atleast what new albums

ive been listening to some Djent but nower days it just sound like metalcore... which is a shame coz i reallydigthe ideas and itcan be mixed with most metal subgenres but there turning it poppy ... but thats just MY opinion
and im sure others will disagree...

heres my band if you fancy something new!

this is just an intro to our upcoming EP

This is another interlude (dark ambience)

We'll upload a full length drop g track soon

I discovered some phenomenal bands today.

Lantlos - I know, I'm late. But holy ..... This band blew me away.

Desiderii Marginis - dark ambient soundscapes. Excellent music to mellow out to, or to set a dim, relaxing mood.

Vallendusk - atmospheric black metal. What's not to like?

Oh yeah, and I gave the Assjack album a listen. I was curious about it and I was quite surprised. I enjoyed the attitude and aggressive purity of it.

    Most recent (good) purchases are:
    Conquering Dystopia - self titled
Hannes Grossman - The Radial Covenant
    Soreption - Engineering The Void
Exmortus - Slave to the Sword

    All amazing IMO.

(Other recents are: Kalmah - Seventh Swamphony, Omnium Gatherum - Beyond, Skyharbor - Blinding White Noise, The Kennedy Veil - Trinity Of Falsehood, Broken Hope - Omen of Disease, Behemoth - The Satanist, Artificial Brain - Labyrinth Constellation -- none of these are stand outs IMHO, all are decent tho)

It's just a what are you listen to thread basically.

That poll disappoints me....more people listening to Cannibal Corpse than Deftones?

Hopefully it's just younger posters that are taking a history lesson.

Yeah, I didn't even bother voting in the poll, because all of those bands are old news. I'm here to share the newest discoveries I've made.

By the way, add Musica Cthulihiana to the list. More dark, very eerie ambient music. Very fitting for playing RPGs.

Been listening to In this Moment's last record 'Blood' - sounds like heavy metal Lady Gaga - although I wasn't specifically searching for metal with a pop edge when I came across them on youtube :)

Other than that, some early era King Crimson for a good prog hit.

    Hell yeah they rule.

I was on a Bodom binge for a while as of recently... that and the newest Carcass.

I also think I may be the only one I know who likes the new Arch Enemy song....
