Well, I've been staying in bed for the last five days cause I somehow managed to catch the stupid coronavirus (yep, it's happening, it's real). I'm almost completely recovered now, so no worries. But this virus is a motherfucker, I see how it can easily kill old people.

So among other things, I decided to stop being just a lurker and start writing in sevenstring. You guys are an awesome community. It's really inspiring to see how much of the current modern metal scene was born here.

    Keep rocking!

Right? I'm here wishing I wasn't self employed so that I could really benefit from some downtime  The bad stuff and inconvenience aside, I cannot fathom being bored with the lockdown situation. In the usual downtime I do have, I'm rewriting an old record ready to record later this year

Damn dude. Hope you recover 100% quickly. Glad you survived! On the bright side, you're now immune to it and can freely go about your business without any worry about contracting it again or spreading it.

Working... I am software engineer and my clients are bankers, so we all work from home.

During the pauses, I work out, play guitar... try to improve my cooking skills.

    Check
    Sometimes, check
    Very check.

But also, I'm lucky enough to be able to work from home, so realistically, not a ton has changed for me. Still lost all the usual social time, jams, pub nights after work, etc., so there's definitely new downtime. Outside of that, the extra time has gone into:

    - Trying to exercise a bit more because not going out makes me feel lazy.
    - Working on some projects that I otherwise wouldn't have found time for. I'm trying to make a stealth game. It's going.... slowly.
    - Fixing things that have been broken for a while around the apartment. My home stereo speakers have been acting up, so that'll be tonight's after-work project.
    - Working from home means I can noodle with guitars while I work, which I couldn't do before.
    - Soooooo many video games.

I´m 38, reasonably healthy, not overweight and I don't have any other conditions.

For me, it felt mostly like a severe lung infection. Lots of dry cough and the feeling of being out of breath easily. It started like a very mild cough and a week later got suddenly worse. I spent 3-4 days in bed and the started to recover very slowly.
I never feared for my life at all, but I must confess at some point I was worried I would have to go to the hospital. And hospitals are not the prettiest place to be these days, if you know what I mean.

This thing is a bitch, it was WAY worse than any flue I've ever had and felt very different too.

    Stay safe!
