Alright, so I'm finally finished my first solo release, an instrumental EP called "Old South" from a project I'm calling We Were Yesterday.

This isn't shred guitar, or full of lead guitar (though it does close with a guitar solo). It's more ambient prog rock, like Steven Wilson meets Cloudkicker's mellower stuff.

I don't think it would come as a surprise to anyone who knows me that I really like this. Great work! It is a very nice blend of post-rock, metal, and ambient.

This isn't a criticism in the least, just an observation...there are some amazing opportunities for Wilson-esque vocals in these tunes!

    EDIT: Post 420 wheew.

Thanks dude :) Yeah, I agree that they could work with vocals as well. I may release a companion EP in the future with vocal versions of these (since I do sing as well), but I liked them as is so much I wanted to put them out.

As an avid fan of instrumental ambient, I will also come in and say that this is well done! Great work. Looking forward to hearing more of your project.

Thanks dude! I'm hoping people dig it enough to buy a download, since I'm really happy with how the included booklet turned out as well :)
