the Proto on Ebay looks like the pu's were mounted for a 25.5 scale.

Someone who bought a proto said it wasn't really good at all, so it was probably just a test batch or something.

I definitely see what you're gettin at. The 808's do seem rather close together considering the 28" scale. The front pickup is awful close to the fretboard as well. It looks like a 28" neck bolted on to a body with 25.5" bridge placement and pup routing (perhaps not really 28"?)... or something
It only has 24 frets....IDK. I'd have to pick one up then measure it

I kinda liked my old Washburn VW16 G11. I'd definitely be interested in tryin one of these out
