I’m poking You, mate. Relax.
WOW this guitar is gorgeous. Great specs as well. HNGD!
Spectacular sir, this is one of the few instances where I enjoy the burl top. Great build
A truly stunning guitar. That top is outrageously cool!
Lookin’ really nice. Waghorn delivers another well made axe. How are you liking the black heaven?
The reverse headstock suits it better than Jackson’s. Great job on the neck joint too
That's a pretty cool looking headstock. Is that a Waghorn thing, or is that a one-off for this build? Either way, it's unique and cool!
I'm liking it so far. It's hard for me to compare this to another pickup as the entire guitar is new to me, but it has a lot of clarity and mids. It is very tight and quite unforgiving if you make mistakes, but that's fine.
It's a reverse Corax, which is Waghorn's own shape
Waghorn just cant seem to deliver a guitar that doesnt make my jaw drop. I miss the jackson headstock a bit bit though to be honest.
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. Fantastic design, specs, and results. You have exquisite taste! Congrats!
Last post on this.
Played a gig with the Waghorn on Sunday.
Sounded great for what I could make out. I'm not used to the head stock dive (previously was using a .strandberg* which is headless so this is new...) and the guitar needed foam or a fret wrap at the nut to stop sympathetic ringing. Apart from these two points, the guitar is a total beast!
Beautiful guitar! Tom used pics of your build as examples while specing mine out, that top convinced me to switch from quilted to burl on mine.
Really enjoyed those snippets posted too, gave Gendo Ikari a follow on Facebook
Thanks man! It's been over year and half but this guitar is so damn good. I think out of my collection, it's the most playable for heavy music for sure.
You can hear it and see it a bit better in this vids.
Love it dude
Wasn't Waghorn where Dillon from daemoness learned to build? Ordering a Waghorn would be like getting a daemoness without the 10 year wait?
I'm pretty sure these take like 4 years though
Yes, I believe Tom did train with Dillon. As for quality, I've not played a Daemoness so I can't compare.
At the time, it was about 2.5 years from putting in an order to delivery IIRC.
