Can you adjust the position of the vibrato bar on JTV Variax so it stays where you want it instead of being loose? If you tighten the bar all the way it's not in a usable position.

    Screw-in Strat style bar, right?

The old trick is to drop a ball bearing and spring into the arm socket. The spring will push against the bar and keep it from getting sloppy.

I think StewMac and AllParts even make kits for this.

Doh! I knew that! LOL Thought maybe there was some mystical Line6 Variax wizard's secret I didn't know about the Variax. Thanks for the reply! : )

UPDATE: I went to StewMac. Found the kit for $7.95. Went to pay for it. They want $10 to "ship" a small ball bearing and spring. Canceled my order post haste. Left them feedback as well. Cooda dropped it in a bubble envelope and mailed it for $1.00.

UPDATE 2: Found a kit on ebay. Ball bearing, spring AND small magnetic disc to cover the hole when you remove the arm so the bearing and spring don't fall out. Disc sits next to hold when bar is installed. Genius! Under $4 and only $3 to ship. Under $7 total.
