    Mesa 1X12 60 watt with V30 - $300
    B-52 4X12 480 watt - $130

Amp is an Orange Micro Dark, planning on 4 cable with POD XT Pro. This is strictly for having fun at home.

Which of these would you go for?

    Neither.

I like 412s and wouldnt buy a B52. If you're on a budget look for a used Avatar cab.

For having fun at home just do the 112. Mesa cabs are good shit, and you don't need the whole dresser-sized 412 to have fun.

That said, where I live at least, you can find a full 412 Mesa recto cab used for 400 without looking too hard. So if you want that big recto cab sound, just do that. They sound awesome.

Just found an old Peavey with 4 GT12-75s for $150. Seems like a much better choice.

Old Peavey cabs are great. Way better than B52. The Mesa 112’s are also great, but I’d go with the Peavey here.

Had the model number wrong on the speakers, they’re G12T-75

those cabs are all great prices

even if the B-52 sucks it's $130 lol

but yeah, that Peavey sounds like a great deal. I almost bought a Butcher cab, all heavy birch ply with G12K-85s, for $280 but it got sold out from under my nose. I wouldn't even hesitate at $150, it costs that much for 1 new t75

I kind of disagree, it's much nicer to play through a 412 at low volumes than a 112. With the speakers higher up and better sound dispersion you can have the volume lower & move around the room more while still sounding great.

+1, that Peavey should sound pretty great TBH. If later you decide to change anything, you could X-pattern V30s in it!
