Hopefully justice will be served.
Drama from a band with more members than fans? There you go. Thanks, Internet.
Here's an article for people that don't like click-bait uToob videos:
Had to check a couple times to see if that was The Hard Times and not Metal Injection.
"Batushka" sounds like what I imagine one of my older relatives calling your butt in front of children
You sit your batushka down and stop hitting your sister!
While I'm not all that invested in music drama, I won't lie - I'm somewhat surprised of the general reactions. In my circles, Batushka is more or less the only black metal band ever mentioned in conversations - I guess it's because Poland is a lot more local to us?
"I created Batushka in the spring of 2015"
HOW WILL YOU EVER REBUILD SUCH AN EMPIRE
I know most around here don't know them, but they're a pretty hyped band in the Brooklyn Vegan/Noisey type metal circles.
For those who don't care to google.
So, they're basically like Ghost, Portal and some random black metal band had a baby. That robe makes the singer look like he's got a huge rack, which is kinda cool.
Litourgiya is such a killer album. Batushka definitely is the kind of a band with a well deserved and rising cult following.
Appreciate posting the text above, I'm not wasting time on a video. But it's 2019, which means that any drama comes down to power skimming the drama just to make sure that none of the members have raped, molested, or killed anyone or are outed as fascists. Fortunately, just dumb drama. On my playlist they shall remain and I shant be following this story any further.
The "1st world problem" thread was actually invented for these kind of news...
Ah fuck. Of all the bands to get fucked by internal drama :/
Living Colour count?
I apologize for posting guys. Didn't realize it would cause all the butthurt. It's a pretty cool band if you've the time to listen for more than a few seconds.
There's always advice about running a band with some business-sensibility from an economics angle, but situations like these show the need for same in terms of incorporation. If you're a gigging band, selling music and making money, you probably need some legal documents to define who the band is (control-wise) and what happens if whatever partnership dissolves... basically so there's no situation where two people are fighting over the identity of the band like this.
It's not like you're seeing other small businesses having drama like this. Facebook: "I have fired Stacy from Happy Pawz Pet Groomers and will be keeping all appointments." Instagram: "Stacy here. Please ignore the Facebook post from Barbara. I am Happy Pawz Pet Groomers- all others doing business under this name are false!"
In an attempt to bring context, and for anyone feeling spicy enough to expand beyond Venom:
This is one of the slower songs on the album, but as a fan of doom I enjoy it the most. Feel free to check any other from the album if you prefer faster songs.
Come on... Your wee, tiny, little, barely there post isn't big enough to cause anyone butt hurt. We hardly notice it back there.
I like the thread and the band, so suck it. You´re the one started filling the thread with lame fluff.
The produced stellar live-shows also - too bad about this conflict nonsene.
No accounting for taste. [Pun on two levels there.]
This band started the lame fluff by being the definition of lame fluff.
I'm sure the three people that were there are going to have a rough start to 2019.
so what you're saying is I definitely shouldn't listen to them?
