I wasn't in the market for a new guitar, having just bought a NOS RG1570 suede red last week. However while searching the classifieds in my home town I came across a cheap RG1527Z, seller had it listed for $700AUD. I asked him what's the lowest amount he'd take and he said $550AUD ($375USD).

Had a look on ebay and the cheapest examples are over twice that amount. I got it, needed a good clean but look at the result. It's hardly been played, and at $550 was a steal!

$700 for a EZ model is such a score! Nice work man. I scored my Edge Pro version for $350, wish it had the EZ trem though!

ive been scouring for another one of those, surprised this one slipped past me!

    Nice

And here I thought Australia was a country where ALL guitars were ridiculously expensive???

The seller basically talked himself down to $550 :)

$350 for yours was a good find! Why do you prefer the Edge Zero?

They really are. I've heard a lot of people put them below 7620's because of the Edge Pro instead of the Lo-Pro bridge....but both bridges are really quite good, and the RG1527's sweet 5-piece neck, to me at least, just puts them over the top.

I love the look and feel of the EZ that’s all haha. The Pro isn’t a bad trem not at all, just really like the Zero better

The only thing I don't like about the EZ is that I can't fit a Tremol-no, which basically restricts the guitar to a single tuning.

Thats a fair point. But its quicker to adjust to a different tuning thanks to the ZPS :)
Plus you don't have to worry about stripping philips head screws too

Maybe I need to learn more about it. The othe night I tuned my G string to Gb, took about 15 minutes until I was happy!
