Hi there,

I'm considering getting the Submission Audio Umanskybass plugin. I'm writing some 8 string songs tuned to F0 standard and want to see how going an octave below my guitar sounds. It's really pushing it, with only a bit over 20Hz, but others are doing it too. I have an actual bass guitar, but with its scale length I'm never getting that note from it. It already struggles at A1. I hope the Dingwall sim of Umanskybass can produce something audible, so let me hear your opinion.

Cheers!

i actually just got that plugin over the weekend. It sounds great, imo.
F0 is crazy, but it remains articulate in the plugin. As a single note, 'fingder alternate' articulation (which is standard articulation), there is still attack etc.
The Dingwall they sampled is pretty jangly, even in the DI. So if youre expecting piano like tones...this aint it.
How it'll sound with your music is another question, depending on how you mix or if youre straight 32nd note peddling that F0....could sound like shit lol.
I say get the plugin.

Great stuff!

It will probably fit my music nicely. I think that the Umansky sounds the most articulate of all the submission bass plugins, because it produces a lot of trebly overtones. I like how that sort of slaps through the mix.
