    (Those drums at the end)
    (heavy for country)

There's gotta be some country love on here .

Its funny. You picked two songs that represent everything I hate about modern country. Let me show you what I was raised on...

That's country... Back in the day, you didn't sing about trucks and fishing to let people know how country you are. Instead, you sang about life, happiness, tragedy, and what was on your mind. Country is defined by how you live, not what you sing about. Oh - and it helps if you have a telecaster in your band. Ha!

This isn't country, this is glorified pop. What happened to country?

Good question... I'm guessing all of the LA sessions guys fled the scene when Grunge hit and moved to Nashville. Here's Shooter's take on it...

If you are gonna namedrop Waylon, you better be his son!

That song basically sums up what's wrong with Nashville and modern country.

Shooter tells it like it is... no punches pulled.

Dierks is a great songwriter. I like what he is throwing down.

Nobody ever talks about Vince Gill, Brad Paisley or Albert Lee and they're all fucking beastly players.

I also have lots of repect for Johnny Cash because all along he was basically like "Fuck Nashville"

    Country is a joke nowadays.

You are on the wrong forum for that kinda stuff... Gill, Brad, and Lee are all we talk about over at the Telecaster Forum. HA.

My only gripe with country music is the dudes who sing with an accent and don't really have one... Comes off a little gimmicky. Beyond that, the music is actually usually not that bad, just not what I prefer. :2c:

Whiskey Lullaby by Brad is one of my favorites. Johnny Cash is the man I have all his songs/ CD's. "Don't take your guns to town" is my personal favorite.
