    On a 27" 21 fret Fender Jaguar Baritone. What guages would you guys recommend I start with for that tuning?

    Well, the guitar is already strung with 11-56 from factory if I'm correct, tuned B to B.
    For a low F#, go for something at least a .68 gauge.
    I know this might be a silly question, but are you tuning the F#s in the unison or in octaves?

    I'm tuning F#'s in unison. I had it tuned in B with 13-59's and it was just the perfect amount of tension for me.

    I currently have the following on a 28 inch scale length Ibanez MMM1:

    5ths Low F to Regular E, D'Addario
    >>> the .022 IS a plain electric string
    >>> the machine head for the 6th string is big enough to handle it
    len 28.0"

    E .009" PL == 7.18kg
    A, .014" PL == 7.74kg
    D, .022" PL == 8.52kg
    G2 .034" NW == 7.64kg
    C,, .052" NW == 7.58kg
    F1 .074" NW == 6.94kg
    total == 45.61kg

    I am going to move to the following though as the tension in the strings is too light for me:

    len 28.0"

    E .0095" PL == 8.0kg
    A, .015" PL == 8.89kg
    D, .024" NW == 8.62kg
    G2 .036" NW == 8.48kg
    C,, .054" NW == 8.33kg
    F1 .080" NW == 8.08kg
    total == 50.4kg

    Dude, with that Isis tuning the F#'s are tuned an octave apart.

    Haha. Yeap! They pull it off soooooo well too! :)

    Their new album is VERY VERY VERY good. And I think it's used in a few spots. It sounds AMAZING! :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

    Cocaine is a hell of a drug. I did mean octave apart? Did I say Unison? Lies, lies, lies!

    Now gimme string guages!

    ps. the new Isis isnt bad, better than the last one but still dont hold a candle on Panopticon/Oceanic

    Hmm.. interesting tuning.

    I noticed that if you drop the 2 F sharps to E you end up tuned to the harmonic series, partials 1 to 6:

    B 2 oct + fifth
    G# 2 oct + major third
    E 2 oct
    B oct +fifth
    E oct
    E root

    Should make for interesting big distorted chords.

    Hi Nightcrawler, sorry for the delay, here are the gauges.

    27 inch scale

    B .013p 17.2 lbs

    G# .016p 18.5 lbs

    E .022w 18.8 lbs

    B .030w 19.8 lbs

    F# .042w 20.8 lbs

    F# .080w 18.6 lbs

    Using D'Addario tension data i started with the .013 high B you liked and created a gradual rise in tension toward the low strings (the key to a perfect set). The .080 F# will have the same tension as the .059 low B you liked. However this may be impractically thick so just go as fat as you can, at least .068 as posted by HughesJB4 :)
