I found this listed on the capital music gear site, and it was quickly removed. Looks like we have a Tonex hardware pedal incoming soon

That's fucking awesome, I had seen they registered a trademark that suggested this was coming. Let's hope for a sub hx stomp prices.

Too bad the image is so low res that you can't see the controls.

I expected that they would do one in the X-Drive etc format. Might be interested in adding this to my board, depends on its other features.

How does the ToneX stuff compare to the Kemper and QC for stealing the soul of an amp?

I'm thinking I may want to pick up some type of capture device to have handy.

Depending on how many amps/presets you can store, it'd be super tempting to pick up. I already have an HX FX board that I use with a Mooer Preamp Live. The only problem I have with the PAL is tha you can only store 12 presets. Might have to keep my eye out for this when it comes out to see what it's capable of.

Grrrr. They took it down. I just want to know what version of ToneX you get and if it has the capture/reamp device built in or if it's just for running the captures you already have on the software. If it's the former, I'd be very interested in it.

Thanks!

So, no specific mention of being able to use it as a capture device, but since it has the built-in interface... Maybe?

I was about to buy the ToneX Capture before the last retailers up their price but if this has it built in, I'd rather buy this so I can use the captures through a real cab if I want to.

I figure with NAMM being moved to April, it could be someone accidentally posted it thinking it was still taking place in January.

Interesting. The thread on TGP with screenshots got deleted. From what I could tell, there's no mic preamps on it, so I'm not sure how you'd capture the live amp unless you're only meant to capture the line out. That's disappointing. So now you need an interface, reamp device, DAW and computer 😭 I have all of that, but liked the idea of upgrading to their Capture device as it has a few more features my passive reamp box doesn't have. If you don't have all of that, the Kemper/QC is definitely still the better deal to have everything all in one.

as expected. It would need fxs though
They’ll most likely incorporate their Amplitube stuff into a future release making a Kemper Stage/QC competitor. I’m fine with this not having effects, I don’t even want what they’re including with it. I want to stick this on a pedalboard that I can use with or without amps, using all my own effects.
So cool! Potential game-changer! Can't wait to add this to my recording rig! :)

NO! STOP USING THAT GODDAMN PHRASE! There are already two floor units that use captures/profiles, it’s just another device doing the same thing with less features. The game is not changing. It’s the same damn game it has been. People make captures, release them, people search for them and use them. Same game that’s been occurring for over a decade.
