Okay, here's where you can find out about the GG7 without having to click all over the forum...

    GG7 Specifications
    Body: Alder w/Tiger Myrtle veneer
    Neck: Maple bolt on
Fretboard: Ebony w/custom 12th fret inlay*
    *Turquoise and Tahitian Black Pearl
Pickups: Seymour Duncan JB (bridge) & '59 (neck)
    Hardware: Black
Bridge: Recessed floating Floyd Rose system
    Tuners: Gotoh mini
    Finish: Transparent Blue

The GG6 and GG7 were designed and built in late 2006, and were launched at a showcase gig on Dec. 30 of that year.
Up to that time I had been endorsing Ibanez, and before that, Peavey. Perry Ormsby's instruments are the finest I have had the pleasure of playing, and we are looking forward to the production of a second GG6 model later in 2007.

    Nice!!!
I'm pretty sure you'll find buyers for that model if it goes into production... especially here.
Any info regarding the builder (website, etc.) ?

I think if Perry Ormsby says it's ebony, it's ebony. Not all ebony is solid black. Some of the most beautiful ebony has golden-blond streaks through it, and it's called Macassar ebony.

That guitar is definitely nice, but yet-another-superstrat-knockoff just doesn't excite me the way it used to.

thanks for the invite in here Graham!!

Yup, ebony it is. Maybe this photo shows off just how black it is... and no black dye to colour it either ;) However, there is some bad photo skills, so you'll have to forgive me :p

The thing about Ebony, is there are something like 500 species available. Well, it might not be 500, but its definately in the hundreds. I also enjoy working with Macassar Ebony, which has a simular tone to the usual black african ebony, but its nice and stripey!

    .

    why thank you Sir!!

But, if i recall correctly, it wasnt a seven we discussed, but a long scale eight :shred:

... or was that a secret??
