    Hello !

I would like to share with you some videos made by a guy named "The Bunn" on youtube.
He does 6 string baritone videos, reviews, tips, etc.
His videos are so good in my opinion and look so pro that he deserves way more subs and views.
Plus if you're into that kind of ERG you'll fall in love with his channel, he's also a really nice dude you can easily talk to.

So yeah, this is kind of an ad moment but for someone who deserves it.

    His channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6sv6DCxKVTikpR9xrCl4LA/featured

You can also find his instrumental band on spotify: Foreigns

    Enjoy !

    Exactly my thoughts.
I've been looking for an alternative but unfortunately there is no real other choice, except maybe going for a custom guitar.
I'm worried about the Iron Label quality, plus that rosewood fingerboard.... (jatoba now because of the rosewood limitation), visually it looks bad in my opinion.

But 28"... it makes you think "why not", and it's cheap.

The only other option I can think of is the RG970XL but they are pretty rare to find. Also it's a 27" scale if that matters. I've always wanted to try a baritone 6 but they all seem to be cheaper guitars. I wish a company could make a nice baritone!

Rare, and old enough to question the state in which you might get one.
I must admit that i avoid used gear as much as possible.

For a 6 string baritone, i was thinking about getting a Halo Guitar, or ask Ran, or even get something from Warmoth. Jericho also does interesting stuff.

Totally agree, I'm the same way. Halo is very questionable too though.

    Yep, Chinese guitars are "questionables".
So far the RGIB6 seems to be the best option with the best value/price ratio.

if you're looking for reasonable baritones, check out agile/harley benton. both offer 27" scaled 6 strings, though agile also offers 28/30" scaled ones from time to time as well. the squier bass vi jazzmaster is also solid minus having shit pickups. Well worth converting it to a regular baritone for the 30" scale.
If you're willing to spend a bit more buy a warmoth neck. warmoth makes great stuff, I've got 4 of their baritone necks.

I heard really bad and good stuff about Agile, so i don't know what i should think about them.
And a friend got a new Harley Benton, i wasn't really sold on it. I'm looking for something with a bit more quality, money isn't even the problem here, so the squier is also out.

Yeah, I can totally agree. I saw one used going for $375 on guitarcenter.com and I was so pissed I didn’t have the cash for it yet lol
I’m probably just gonna go for the Chapman ML1 Baritone tbh

Rondomusic has a 30” intrepid six string on their site right now for $500. Had my eye on it, but after playing a 30” scale at GC, I’m not sure I like my guitars that long. It feels more like a bass

if that's the case then schecter regularly makes hellcats that have 30" scales (occasionally some hellraisers with humbuckers). The PRS 277 or mike mushok are solid too.
It can be a bit unwieldy if you're not used to it. Long scales don't feel that awkward to me because I'm used to them and have pretty big hands. I only have 2 guitars with scale lengths under 27" right now.

I have an Intrepid 630 and it's very nice for the price. My only issue with the guitar is that the body shape isn't the most comfortable with that type of scale length. I play in classical position and the intrepid body shape seems to have too much body between the bridge and end of the guitar when it rests on my leg. It makes the 30 inch seem longer than it is. If the bridge and the edge where much closer, the guitar would feel like a 27" (if that makes any sense). If you look at the Dingwall bass bodies you can see what I mean. I'm considering a semi-custom Reaper with a 30" since, apart from probably Neck-Dive City, is the best body type for what I'm referring to (plus ERG Vs are awesome).

Bunn mentioned in one video that he's considering a EBMM Silhouette Bass (29.4) for a future purchase. Usually in these types of threads the Ibanez RGIB6 and Mushok/SE 277 always get mentioned. I would like to suggest the rarely mentioned Schecter Hellraiser C-VI

It's a 30 inch scale. I'm considering getting one in the future since it has all the specs I'm looking for. Lastly, I mentioned this another thread about this topic, the RGIB6 has a slightly thicker neck relative to most other Ibanez's (20mm 1st-23mm-12th) just to give clarification if you are sensitive to that sort of thing or potential radius preferences. Here's a quick comparison.

    Intrepid 630: 30" Scale | 15" Radius | 22.2mm to 23.8mm Neck | Neck Through
    Ibanez RGIB6: 28" Scale | 15.7" Radius | 20mm - 23mm Neck | Bolt-On
    Schecter C-VI: 30" Scale | 14" Radius | 20mm-22mm Neck | Set-Neck

All use some variation of EMGs. Over the years, I gravitate more to thicker necks and rounder radii (for all n-stringed guitars) so the Schecter and Intrepid are above Ibby for me.

I'd love one too, I just wish they made better looking ones. They are just too traditional looking right now.

I actually did mention the hellraiser VI and the hellcat vi. If it wasn't so tacky looking I'd have bought one by now.

We talked about that Schecter, and yes it seems to be a really nice choice. But i'm kind of a small guy so 30" might be a bit too much, plus the guitar looks a bit too flash for my tastes. I still think about it though.
So far it's the ibby or that schecter. If not, i'll go for a custom.
I think i'll also ask Jericho if they can make a 28" inch neck if i order a 6 string guitar. They already do 27" if you ask for it.
    Check that:
