That's a good question. I don't think I can really give you a thorough answer however, as I've only played the Diezel VH4 very briefly. I really need more time w/ the Diezels before being able to giive worthwhile advice. Once I get the Diezels in stock I'm going to really spend some time with them and learn them inside & out so I can give more informed advice on the matter. :yesway:

Thanks man, I appreciate that. :yesway:

If I am able to sure. I have to read through the policies and guidelines stuff first. I'll look into all that in the fall. :yesway:

    Yo Nick,
    Two questions.

    1) Which BKP is most like the Dimarzio Blaze bridge pup?
    2) Can I get them in red (i.e. as close to Ibanez's RG550 Road Flare Red color)? Apparently, Red isn't on Dimarzio's color chart for 7-string pups.

I got a custom thing I'm working on.

    Hey Shannon,

    1) The Cold Sweat bridge would be the closest. It has a similar EQ curve to the Blaze, it works exceptionally well in basswood as well. It is a bit tighter/clearer than the Blaze on the low end but still with an exceptional lead voicing.

    2) Unfortunately no they do not make it in red. In fact, 7-string BKPs only come in black - but it's a cool looking black. You'd unfortunately have to get bobbin toppers or something if you needed it to be red. However, I suspect your glee upon hearing the tone would make up for any cosmetic drawbacks, but if you need to be red I completely understand. :yesway:

I hope that helps dude. Feel free to give me an email/call if you have any other questions or want to discuss anything directly. PM for details :metal:

PS: Here are the BKP color/finish options for 6-strings for the record. Not shown is the popular 'distressed' cover (like the one I just sent Bulb) as well as the Nailbomb logo one.

Battle worn also isn't there - And the burnt chrome, And the BKP engraving, or the Rebel Yell engraving... Or the solid black EMG like one (looks alot better than EMG imo), you can also get it with BKP where EMG would normally be.. Looks awesome...

Btw - First time seeing this post - Absolutely STUNNED by your stock, I WISH there was a shop like this in London, we sooo need one. I vist Boston annually, expect me in the future!

Thanks for pointing that out yes, there are indeed more options than what's in that chart. Unfortunately for 7 and 8-strings the option is still only black :)

Thanks for the kind words, I'm working very hard on getting everything together. Right now The Axe Palace is a one man operation, so it's been crazy but progressing well. Slowly but surely I'm getting more brands on board and more stock. So far I've been mainly selling BKP, Caparison, Diezel, and Bernie Rico Jr. The rest of the brands I'm carrying need to wait until my retail location is open (has been internet-only thus far). Hopefully by the end of the summer I'll have all that straightened out however :yesway:

It would be great to have you come down next time you're in town, I'll definitely make sure you have a fun time :metal:

I still wish you had an ENGL...shoot them a message in a month when all your orders and everything comes in. Tell them that even though there's a massive Caparison dealer in New York, you're still getting great business in Boston, same with Bare Knuckle, etc.

I'm on top of the ENGL thing trust me :) I've been in contact with them several times, they've been cool to me but they have a deal with another place in Boston so I can't carry them yet.

I'm confident in the future I'll be carrying ENGL, but most definitely not in 2008. :yesway:

You're not coming off that way, no worries. I'm on top of things is all I was trying to say. I pushed hard to carry ENGL but it's not possible at this time. Same goes for ESP and Ibanez. Just about every other company I targeted said yes though so I'm happy.

ENGL's US distributor did made it seem as if they would be willing to let me carry their amps in the not-so-distant future, so I'm optimistic. :yesway:
