Thinking about all the bands that enjoy a word so much they put it in every song.
I found it fun

    Stuff like
Immortal using "Frost" in every song
Manowar using "Steel" in every song
Metallica using "Yeah" in every song

Post yours and share the fun :agreed:

Also, Dragonforce and doing stuff "together". I haven't listened to the band in years but I remember literally every track is like "together we will" or "on the road together" or "together we fight" "we ride together"

I can think of a whole bunch of bands who litter all their songs with f-bombs if that counts.

    ^lolol Limp Bizkit!

Should we count King Diamond using double-negatives? I think he must think it makes his English sound more natural.

Killswitch Engage has (or had, it's been a while since I've listened to them) an obsession with separation. It seemed like almost every song for a while had a line like "break the ties" or "sever the bonds".

Dave Mustaine singing about him and/or other people being broke, though, not always using the word.

From Peace sells: "What do you mean I don't pay my bills? Why do you think I'm broke? Huh"?

From Foreclosure of a dream: "Insufficient funds, insanity and suicide".

From Train of consequences: "I'm doing you a favor as I'm taking all your money".

From Breadline: "Ain't got no job".

From United abominations: "Poverty in their kitchens".

From Bite the hand: "They took everything and anything. As long as it once belonged to me. The rats got all the money. The roaches licked the cupboards clean of TV dinners and beer".

From The Right to go insane: "I live from credit card to check. The paper money's whirling by. And I hardly just, just barely, only just survive".

From Guns, drugs and money: "Poverty will turn the life of any good man bad".

From Dance in the rain: "So far in debt you're struggling to survive".

Sirenia has never strayed from using the following:
    -the word "frozen"
    -the numbers 6,7, and 13
-references to various times of day in each song
    -every season except spring

Chino Moreno often sings about people "going away".

Raunchy has a lot of... raunchy songs, regardless of the singer.

For Limp Bizkit, take your pick:

    "ladies and gentlemen"
    "check 1, 2"
    "yeah"
    "c'mon"

The word "and", "to", "in", and "the". I wish people would be more original

    Lil Wayne: "What?" "Yeah!"

    Dream Evil: "Metal"

    Actually, screw specificity:

Power metal: steel, metal, force, fire
    Prog metal: mirror, witch, apprentice
    Death metal: disease, flesh, blood

Actually, you could mad libs pretty much any metal song, just throw in enough cliches, like starting with a blast beat and "breeeeeeeeee," something about "writing on the wall," "we are the ones you love to hate" and make sure the next line ends with "fate," "we are the disease" or similar, etc.

But I still love metal

    "home"

    - Devin Townsend

when it comes time to go home
how much it hurts at home
    Send my love to home
    And I'm coming home
all that we're trying to do in this life is go home...
And ride that wind back home...
Everybody knows, it's very good now... home... home...
It's all right, now we're home
So ain't it funny how, after trying to find my way home
Find our way back (the universe) home
a free way... a free way to carry you home
Gone too far for the way on home,
    Oh, search for home
Are we all that we're meant to be when we're home, boy!
Although we've been wandering, we are home, boy!
Home we go! Home we go!
    The way home
All the worlds afraid but we are home again, home again!
    Away from home? Wait!
Somebody get me alone, I need to feel at home
    Home.
Home, home…I go home, when we meet you god we go home…
    I'm home!
And we are one of mind, and we are home.
We know that its far too close to home
    The road leads to home
Please just let this boy go home.
Canada, I want to go home
boys gotta make a happy home
    You're all, you're always home
If you don't wanna lend a hand then try to stay at home
Way out in space and far from home.

    That's without SYL lyrics

I think Devin just has a bad sense of direction.
