A few tele-like builds over the years, unfortunately I only have the 8 string still. The Seafoam with piezos came up for sale a year ago and I couldn't swing the funds then to get it back. I want to build another like the Wenge tele because it was insanely cool.

Thoughts in dual rail single coil pickups for teles?
Does it defeat the purpose of a single coil as they are essentially humbuckers in a single coil housing

For me it does, but you install what works for your needs. However, a good set of tele single coils should should do almost anything you throw at it.

the Fender Twisted Tele set seems interesting as well.

Still looking into the sets that you all have recommended.

i'm really surprised that this Ibanez body didn't become as big as I think it should have been. It is a 'metalized' tele, but unlike their other beveled shape (similar to Kiesel/Carvin) which seem too 'busy' for my taste, this seems sleek and elegant. plus, a tele with 24 frets? Not sure how it would do with an ashtray type bridge

your thoughts on this body?
I owned the red version of this several years ago and I loved the looks but I remember the balance feeling really off and awkward to play. Really wanted to love it but it convinced me if that I went Prestige level again to just get an RG.

Another Schecter PT. Love this thing and awaiting an overhaul of a electronics and a new bridge pickup.

Love both of these!

Just out of interest, what would you compare the neck of the Fernandes to?
It's about 20.5mm thick on the 1st fret and 23mm on the 12th fret, feels D shaped. 42.5mm width at the nut and 56.5mm at 22nd fret. It's a weird one. It feels chunky, yet fast at the same time. I don't mind the thickness on the higher register, it feels comfy.

Those with any experience with an Esquire, what is going on with the controls?

On the surface, they appear to have: 3 way toggle, volume, tone.

But if it's a single pickup, what is the toggle doing?

And if Esquire is the first tele, why was the control cavity made with a toggle switch? Unless the switch is doing something else?
