Tabletop / Desktop setups without computers ?

I'm tried of looking at computer screens, have digital overwhelm,
thinking of a looper based setup with a modeller and a looper like the Boss RC 202/505 series. Might add a drum sequencer eventually. Just want to jam out, don't care about producing pro grade tracks.

Please share your thoughts, expiriences or rigs please. Looking forward to your answers.

Why not just grab an old 4 or 8 track recording station? They're getting dirt cheap.

I don't need that many tracks, but yea its a good idea. I want to keep the size small so thinking about an old Micro BR 80 or something similar.

A small Mackie mixer and an old Alesis ADAT machine can get you a long way. 8 tracks.
