So I've been sucked into the world of modular amps with the Synergy and they just released the ENGL Savage module. All I can say is WOW. I'm really loving everything they have to offer. I've sold off my Axe FX and Kemper and am using this setup now with a UA Ox. I did a quick recording of the Savage using my Kiesel Osiris loaded with Elysian Trident II pickups tuned down half a step.

Damn that thing has gain for days. Is it basically unusable past noon?

Yea, I was taken aback by how much gain is on tap! Granted my Elysians are pretty high output. But Synergy really answered the call from users looking for higher gain modules on this one.

Sounds great but Engl also offers a number of options for kind of modular preamp gain. If someone has a Synergy and wants Engl tone this seems like the way to go, but if you just want Engl tone without it, lots of options (straight from Engl).

Yeah they’re great pickups! I’ve got a set as well. Seems like a SLO and Savage could make an excellent rhythm and lead combo.
