I have 2 great 7’s already, both are equipped with an Evertune and Fishman pups. I’m looking for a 7-string with a tremolo. One is an awesome Solar T1.7 Vinter and the other a modified Ltd SH7 ET. But I’m a tremolo guy at heart. I don’t use it like I did in the 80’s and 90’s, but still love my Dimebag style tremolo

options so far include,

Ltd M1007 QM
Ltd Buz 7
Solar SB1.7AFRFM
Jackson Loomis 7fr
Schecter C-7 FR SLS Elite Black fade burst
Ibanez Prestige RGDR4327

I haven’t had the chance to play any of these. But own and love my 6 string guitars made by them and other brands.

Although I’m looking for advice on a purchase, I’d gladly entertain trade offers for my new in box Kemper toaster as I already use one and don’t need two Kempers. Lol.

Thanks in advance for your input And education.

I have a Solar A1.7FR FB currently and have had the Schecter C7 FR SLS before it. The Solar is a great guitar with great specs at a great price. The Schecter was also an amazing guitar, only reason I sold it was cause the body edge dug into my arm when playing standing for some time causing my tendons to hurt and cause I had the sunburst fade and I wanted a darker looking guitar. Both were excellent quality guitars and I'd highly recommend either of them or the Jackson Loomis. I haven't tried any of the others.

I have 3 Solars and love them. Really wanted that 7-string with the sustainiac and a Floyd Rose, but it sold out too quickly.

I think you could find a similar Schecter or Ibanez more affordable "used". There's just so many of them out there. Between all you listed I'd go for the Ibanez myself. It's quality is fairly above the others and I prefer the playability on those.

Does it have to be a new guitar?

A used Ibanez RG1527 Prestige is a commonly available and well-regarded model. I have one and it is great.
