If Im not wrong this was while setting up for the Tony MacAlpine Benefit Concert in Los Angeles.
this person is either someone who doesnt have any clue of what he was doing/stealing, like he/she jsut saw a "guitar" adn took off. OR either its a very very very dumb fan.
This is not "Evo" or "Flo", but this is still one of the top 5 guitars of Vai. IF this thief stole this knowing who he stole it from and its planing to sell it, he is gonna have a very bad time. Only people "interested" in this guitar would be Vai's fan, and everyone who likes Steve Vai would recognise this guitar. And if it is just for "him", what hes going to do with it?, like he wont be able to show it to anyone, again as everyone who knows Vai and would want to see their buddy's "new Jem" would know this guitar. AT least the JP15 at NAMM was a production model, but this is a LACS way different to the production model that again every Vai's fan knows of it
I wonder if he deliberate took this guitar, or he just grab one case at random. Which makes me think. A player like Vai with the arrange of guitars he takes to every gig, how does he travel with them?, like each one in a separate case, or by 3 guitar per flight case or something like that?
Steve Vai's guitar "Bo" was stolen earlier today at a loading area outside of The Wiltern Theater in L.A. It's a mirror Ibanez JEM with blue LED's, a Sustainer system, and a red laser built into the headstock/neck. The forearm contour is also cracked/distressed a bit. Attached is a picture. If you hear something or think you've seen it, please message this page. Thank you. *Update Bo's serial ‪#‎F0006311‬
