hey, new here, wondering if anybody has had any experience with the sterling by musicman jp70, if so, how do the bridge, pickups, and playability compare to a floyd rose, emg81, and other guitars that you've played? been thinking about picking one up for awhile.

It is a great guitar for the money. The stock pickups are ok. I changed mines out for blackhawks and they were great. For the money they are amazing.

The bridge is pretty much like the 2 point tremolo system on modern strats. Even though the guitar has locking tuners, I wouldn't get too crazy with the whammy bar.
I like the stock pickups quite a bit and have no plans to replace them.
I would suggest a .060 B string at least for this guitar, given its scale length. While I've not had the guitar professionally set up yet, I find that the action needs to be higher than I usually prefer in order for the strings to not sound buzzy.
