Ah hell.

This community won't feel the loss, but it's a major one. They play Nightfly tracks at my workplace all the time, due to Becker's songs often erring on the side of caustic.

This is pretty sad as the guy(and the rest of the band) was such a unique and interesting talent.
I got into Steely Dan because Stef from the Deftones mentioned them in a GuitarOne interview so I checked them out and never looked back because they covered a lot of ground which is something I really love and I'm not sure if people will get what I mean but I feel they're the type of band that couldn't exist nowadays because they're so diverse.

Easily one of my favorite bands. They wrote such classic songs and albums. Pretzel Logic is a masterpiece in my eyes. RIP Walter.

A real shame - they were going to tour the UK in late October :(. He will be sorely missed.
