    Whadap folks!

    The title sais it all!
Want to know if it works first, to connect the Pod HD500 to any Speaker and/or Amp and use it as the preamp pedalboard as it is. (4x12? 2x12?)
I'll receive my M80M in a week, just like a bunch of other people here and had the idea of buying one instead of using computer speakers, should sound more decent!..

Which one is your fav / would you recommend?
Ya got teh answers, I know ya Soundfreaks!

(added a little poll for teh lolz)

    Greets n' shit!

Do you have a power amp? The Tech 21 Power Engine 60 is somewhat affordable and convenient. It's a 1x12 speaker cab with a solid state power amp. Not sure if it's any good...

Duuuuuuuuuude, you're not living the YOLO life!
Ok, let's cut that for a while :D

Was thinking of active monitores before but I've got the feeling that it's pretty annoying with the switching between the computer "onboard sound" or how you could name it.
Also it may is a good alternative to play the M80M or any other guitar without turning on the PC and without Headphones with the HD500 through a rather powerfull speaker to accent the low end?

You can plug the monitors into the POD directly without needing to turn the computer on. The whole deal here is that you need speakers/cab with their own power. That's pretty much it, you don't need a PC. You could just get the biggest EVE Audio monitor they sell and plug it in the POD mono, if you don't need stereo effects. Cabinets are dying, man.

You could use the HD500 as an audio interface with your monitors.
You don't have to turn on the PC for sound to come out this way.
If you want something that you can gig with you can go two routes:
FRFR (Full range, flat response) - basically a PA speaker (or two)
    Power amp + cab.
    Edit: oops, ninja'd

I tried many and definitely EVE Audio are the brand I like best. They come in various sizes, check their website for additional info. Depending on your budget you should at least give them a listen (I got a pair of SC204s for around 700 EUR).

Monitors are a pretty good pairing for the HD500 / Bean / HD pods in general...

I've got my HD Bean running into a PreSonus AudioBox 22VSL audio interface, which is hooked to a pair of Tannoy Reveal studio monitors... I don't gig or anything, so this setup works fantastic for me. I've also got the audio interface hooked up to my computer, so the monitors also double as my PC speakers, and I can blend the signals (guitar and music from PC) together for some fun play-along times. :)

From price low to high. You could buy the sub later if desired.
    Yamaha hs8 + HS8S
    Adam F7 + SubF
    Adam a7x + Sub12
    Adam a77x + Sub12

I have the A7X and they are great.

My m-audio bx8a's are more than sufficient.

Do you plan to do live stuff with a band?

Primarily it's meant to be just for recordings at home.

I am a little bit oldschool and I treat my POD HD300 as an effect pedal for tones. I plug it right into my Kustom 100watt when I am playing with other people. When it is just me I have it ran directly into my computer for playing/recording/tonechasing

Hi Orandje, hope this helps, I use a POD HD500 > Carvin HD1500 Power amp > 2x 2x12 Mesa Dual Recto Cabs in stereo and it sounds AWESOME...
    :hbang:
Then again, I've used the POD HD500 with powered PA speakers and no power amp on a couple of smaller gigs and it works fine, but I love my Mesa cabs, thats the sound I prefer...

I also used to have two Carvin V3 combos that I used in stereo with the HD500 and that also sounded great (just a little tweaking on the combos), the HD500 is a versatile machine
