Anybody have any tips on where I could get a custom pickguard for an Ibanez? I’m specifically looking for a UV70P green/black guard minus a route or two.

Thanks all

Possibly Perle guitars on Ebay. Lot's of pick guards for Ibbys.
Thanks! Out of anything I’ve found yet they come the closest - the real trick will probably finding multi-ply with that black and green scheme. Maybe I’ll see if I can just find a new one and plug the holes as cleanly as possible, that way I don’t destroy this one.

I had to create a new pickguard for my UV when I got it because the original one was shattered. I tried Perle through their REVERB store and got no feedback. Went to their website and found a downloadable PDF with a cropped A4 sized UV pickguard template, which, I obviously did download. Since I'm on the Computer added Design & Drafting side of life, I found that this PDF can be edited and featured an uncropped FULL SIZED pickguard template as well as a possible RG8 pickguard template. I did some measurements between this file and my original pickguard and got around the Designed my very own pickguard, which later asked to a local Laser Cut and Etching store to cut for me in mirrored plexyglass of some sort. It works great and cheap, but I had to bevel its edges by hand and make the bed for the screws' heads. I can now have whatever pickup layout in my UV as long as it fits my guitars pickups' routings.

If you go this route, you may need to measure your guitar's neck dimensions at the neck joint and adapt the design accordingly. You can edit the PDF file with Adobe Illustrator software or any similar vector graphic software like Corel Draw, for example. I used Illustrator because it's the one I'm used to work with.

Here are some photos of my pickguards so far:

1 - The first one, un-beveled clear mirror with some add-ons I did to the circuitry 😁

2 - And my most recent laser etched and hand beveled one with its matching back covers 😁... and the same circuitry as the previous:

... and I already have a new design ready for the laser cut + etching work. These come out at roughly 15€ per un-beveled pickguard, which, is quite reasonable against the 40€+ shipping+import taxes from Perle. The back covers are cheaper, obviously. Now I have access to whatever custom pickguard I may want.

I've also done some covers for my Ibanez Saber guitars in black plexyglass that came out awesome, but these were without any help from Perle's templates. The white ish designs are laser etched over the black plexyglass:

@odibrom how did you bevel yours? I went a similar route with modifying Perle's pdf in Illustrator to fit an RG7321 and using our laser at work. (I did goof up the neck pocket, there's still a gap if you zoom in lol)

I tried using wood files, Dremell, router conical bits and sanding drums (?). The later worked better for me, but one has to be careful not to overdo.

This the "sanding drum" I used:

It absorbs a bit the pressure one applies for the grinding, making it easier to get a smooth result. I plugged it to a hand driller, got the hand driller securely fixed to a table and held the pickguard against it, going by feeling.

To make it a solid bevel, the router conical bit would be the path to go if you manage to do it in a solid and secure way, which wasn't my case.
