I didn't know where else to post this. Is it that hard to clean your damn guitar before you list it? :barf:
I feel the same away about the clowns on Craigslist who are trying to sell their instrument but only post two pictures taken with a potato camera in a poorly lit room. Still, better than the idiots that don’t post any pictures at all.

Saw one a couple of days ago. No photos, but said something like "Custom Carvin, all top-of-the-line specs and available upgrades, ebony fretboard." No model, age, condition, or finish. The extra hilarious bit to me was the specific mention of ebony, when that was their base-spec fretboard wood for decades. It's like listing a car that says "Mustang: all top-spec upgrades, AM radio."

Holly Shit ...is that that the level/standard of routing on these guitars? my £600 desktop CNC has cleaner cuts/finish!...dog shit

It's not the route, it's the finish. It's so thick that it "goop'd" into route. Definitely something that should have been fixed.

Look at those ears on the right side of the pup routes both are skewed and the right front tip on the floyd route has an over route dip in the corner, thats not a finish hissue!

I think the Floyd bit is a trick of the picture, looks like a shadow. The pickup ears are both wonky, like the right ones are drooping.

I've seen this a ton, the routes are clean enough, as far as outline goes, but between the poorly done finish and cheapo cavity dressing (as in none  ) they look wonky. The angles and shadows aren't doing them any favors either.

If that wasn't a "b stock" it should have been.

I pretty much assume all Solars are factory 2nds because it certainly seems like most they sell fall into that category. I'm sure there are selection factors at play, but it sort of reminds me of the early days of Rondo/Agile.

EDIT: You know what, maybe I'm wrong. Looking at this dude's other listings, I think they just HATE pickup routes.

Yeah.... I was going to say he has a couple other listings with the same issue, I just didn't want to blast their page haha.

It's like this dude does a bunch of drugs before working on their guitars. It's so strange.

I wonder what the context for this photo is. Why are there glass bottles on the ground in the background? What’s with the bike? Why the vending machine snacks? Why the guitar? Why THIS messed up guitar?

Maybe I lack the imagination - I certainly don’t have the same imagination as the owner of that instrument.
