Thank you very much... That’s a beautiful guitar! From what I understand the new PRS SE guitars are made at the Cort factory now?

Kiesel SH6. From the front, it's the same shape as their CT6. From the side, It's got the deeper body of their SH550. It's a carved-top semi hollow (not bent ply).

Aqua Candy on burled maple, with a transparent black burst edge, and the fretboard is Ziricote. The floor is walnut. :)

I've got a semi hollow ESP Eclipse from 96 or 97. It's as light as my headless (~5.5 lbs).

I've had the purple sparkle one in my Reverb cart for like 6 months lol. How do you like it? Pros/cons after owning for awhile?

I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase it. The Xtone is by far my favorite semi hollow. It’s not too big and the thickness is a little more than a Les Paul. It is very ergonomically shaped.

I have a Flaxwood Rautia that is actually a small bodied full hollowbody! It's made of injection moulded spruce fiber and resin. IMO it mostly sounds like a solid-body but maybe a bit sweeter and also louder acoustically.

Don't have a pic of it online, but here's a similar one. Mine has a fixed bridge an a Ferrari red finish.

I have heard of those guitars before. I have not played them. Are they still being produced? The concept of the guitar body is similar to how Hagstrom does their “resonator” fingerboards.

As far as I know they are still produced though the lineup has been pretty much the same for seemingly ages. I think the drawback of the material is that making new molds is very expensive so they cannot easily make different scale lengths, body shapes and so on.

In any case a very cool and good sounding guitar. I have played several and they seemed to be very consistent in tone and quality.

The consistency in tone is the good thing about composite wood.

I’ve wanted a PRS Hollowbody since I first started playing years ago. I didn’t realize how thick they were but I still want one bad. That cost is a little nutso though.

One of my biggest guitar selling regrets was a HB2. Such a great and versatile guitar. Very playable too, unlike say a 335, which is just obtrusively big to me (although super cool looking). That said, outside of the piezo, I don't think it sounded considerably different than any CU22, but it sure looked cool. They seem to go for about twice as much as I bought and sold it for now too, so it'd be hard to pull the trigger on another knowing what I paid the first time.

I've had a thing for 'modern' semi-hollows as I been calling them for a few years now these two are my six string workhorses. Sry for the crappy pics I'm moving and just put whatever I had on my phone lol.

Had a PRS SE Semi-Hollow that was my go-to for a few years, right before I switched to 7s. Really wanted a Carvin Holdsworth at the time. Almost got an Eastman for my first 7, but that fell through.

Dunno when or if I'll have another semi-hollow, but I'm a big fan of them.
