It has active emgs installed.. and the scale length is perfect IMO. I generally prefer it over 26.5". The case is included with a nice locking strap too. . Worst case scenario I dont like it I can make all my money back through a resale... the only thing that would make it a perfect guitar would be a tremolo... I had wanted a 7 string Ibanez with a trem for a long ,long while already, and truth be told, it's not that I cant save up for a brand new guitar, I just rather not. I set my budget at $400, the only other decent guitars in my range were either a used C7 hellraiser , or an Ibanez S7420 , Indonesian made .. a Prestige with a case seemed like the best choice .. and yes it's too late because I picked it up just now and it looks even better in person . The routing isnt perfect, but besides that it pretty much looks flawless . It needs a minor setup which I will get to after drop my wife off at work ....it sounds amazing and plays excellent even with it needing some minor tweaking .

SOO... Happy new guitar day to me !

Your takes here are getting worse and worse. Used gear is great, that Ibanez is a good deal, and "sluts" are pretty cool too.

My 752fx plays incredible (albeit after a fret leveling and nut slot adjustment for 10-59). Pickup routes affect basically nothing but looks, I'd go for it

The nut slots weren't wide enough to accommodate 10-59? The one I just picked up definitely needs new strings, and they feel very light, I want to get some thicker ones... Hope I don't run into any problems.. I want to go for 10-62

Came here again and laughed... for someone out there those can be dream specs, who knows. It's japanese made guitar after all, hard to say more about it without really trying it out.

The funniest part of this is suggesting a new sterling, when they aren’t even worth their used prices most of the time.

From the factory, even the 9-54s that came with it were binding at the nut. The nut itself was cut like garbage, and there were multiple high frets. This was likely a lemon in that regard, but once those issues were fixed it's great.

Damn that sucks! That ain't the Prestige quality Ibanez become known for. Mine has a slight bit of buzz toward the higher notes , action is low and strings are too light for me. Gonna swap them out today, and give it a setup hopefully that helps.

If I were you, I'd buy it and throw a nice pickguard over the pickup routing. :)

Used prestige for less than 500 bucks? I'd take that. I'd put a pickguard on it as well if the routes are really a problem to look at :D

Wow. Have you ever owned an Ibanez with a Prestige neck? With a basic setup, they’re one of the best. Used market price for this guitar is about $650 to $900 & I personally would buy it if I didn’t already have several killer Ibanez Prestige guitars.
