So i'm now onto looking into pickups for 7 strings, which i've straight away noticed are prodominantly humbucking.

I know seymour duncan sells some, despite their webpage navigating as well as a drunk midget.
and i know riogrande are big on single coil pickups

are there any other brands you'd recommend?

Carvin AP13s. I love Carvin pickups.

there are a bunch of old threads on this topic....

basically, there are way better-sounding options then the Blaze single, and options way closer to standard single-coil materials and construction than the Kent Armstrong or the Carvin. i personally love the Rio Grandes. read up and decide what's best for you.

I had an old 7 string that had a Blaze middle in the neck and it sounded great, real Glassy, smooth and "Stratty". Try it out !

The 7 string single coils that I like best are from the Duncan Custom Shop. They are called SSL7 7 string and I have MJ use Quarter Pounder poles for a little more exaggerated magnetic field. I have 2 in the VHSS-7, one in the middle position of Pinky, and one with regular poles in the Kamikaze 7.

Here are the V and Kamikaze with them. (Pinky isn't out of the spray booth yet.)

Yep, those are good pickups. Im fairly certain thats the OEM version of what I have in the Kamikaze 7 with the regular poles.

Rio Grande Tallboy if you got a moderate output pickup in the bridge, Muy Grande if you got a hot pickup in the bridge. I'd use a 250k tone pot with the Tallboy because it can be bright. It's optional with the Muy Grande because that pickup is a bit warmer. The folks at Rio Grande are awesome, and I haven't heard a better sounding 7-string single coil yet. I've tried Anderson, Duncan Design (don't blame me, it came with the guitar ), and BKP.
