Agreed, he's one of my favorites - and if it wasn't for John Schaffer, my rhythm playing would be drastically different.

I've always thought Howard Jones as a great metal vocalist. Seems like the whole package if you know what I mean...

This guys is my favourite by though...

Awesome songwriter that can make his vocals fit the feeling and atmosphere of the music. Very unique singer IMO...

Good on mentioning Danny G of Pain of Salvation, I also endorse the bringing up of Roy Khan and IA (IA is more "competent" than amazing though in my opinion).

Another fine piece by Daniel Gildenlöw:

    The very overlooked Paul Stanley:

    Also very overlooked, Richie Sambora:

    - edit - Oh, forgot the one and only Bobby Kimball!

I dont know if you guys will dig this one, but oh well. One of my favorite singers is Jason Gleason from the band further seems forever. How to start a fire was an amazing cd in my opinion, and i think was the best singer they ever had. Kind of on the light side

My other favorite singer is Dustin Kensrue of thrice. They are my favorite band of all time. Enjoy

Yea I would have to agree with you there, Jesse is just an amazing vocalist though. On another note, I was watching this video again and it looks like Joel is playing a Universe, anyone else notice that?

Taking Jesse, even though he's a great singer, over Howard is ridiculous.

Ironically, that's the kind of vocal style that I've devoted my life to get away from :p That kind of squeaky, (dare I say it) emo style tone comes natural on my high notes and it's basically my only goal vocal-wise to get rid of it.

Dude you beat me to it!! He's also a stunning guitarist in his own right, probably my favourite rock vocalist, with pre-smack Phil Anselmo being my favourite metal vocalist :yesway:
